Layout and menu

Navigation through the app takes place using buttons in the menu. After logging in, the layout is always the same: there is a top taskbar with buttons. On larger screens, buttons are available at the top of the taskbar. These buttons disappear for the most part when the application is viewed on a phone. On the left side of the logo is a hamburger icon. If you click it, the menu buttons appear in the side menu.

AI School Layout

There are 4 different menus available in the top menu bar and in the side menu on the left:

  • Main menu
  • Support menu
  • Profile menu
  • Settings menu

AI School Side menu

The following options are available in the main menu:

  • New chat: this takes you back to the start screen with a blank chat. You can also click the AI-School logo to return to the start screen.
  • Assistants: view assistants. Employees can also create assistants
  • History: view chat history. Here you can open previous chats and continue where you left off.
  • File management: view all uploaded documents and generated images

Depending on the account that logs in, the following can be added:

  • Lessons for students. Students can navigate to lessons via this menu
  • Admin for school or board administrators

The main menu has separate buttons in the taskbar.

Support menu​

The Support page has three cards:

  • How can we help you?: open the chat. It can help you with information from the manual.
  • Known issues: ongoing issues. You do not need to report a known issue again. Under Previous issues you can find resolved and closed issues.
  • Report an issue: describe your question or problem. You will receive a confirmation by email with a reference number.

Students only see How can we help you?. They ask their teacher for help or use the chat; submitting a direct support request is not possible.

Profile menu​

The profile menu consists of:

  • Profile: here you can find account details and employees can switch between different locations
  • Log out: log out when you are done working

Settings menu​

The settings menu consists only of the Preferences page. For employees, another page called "Select groups" is added. Here, employees can make a selection of the groups they follow.

The profile menu and settings menu are both available in the taskbar on the right, under the initials of the logged-in user. This is a dropdown menu.
